just wanted to report on our first visit to finikounda.
we loved it as it is so relaxed but has a great greek liveliness at night - lots of locals sitting outside the cafes giving it a great authentic feel! it was pretty quiet there from a tourist sense- we have visited many places in greece during that half term week but have never been somewhere as quiet as this - dont know if its always like this or if its the " recession "
also wanted to recommend " mousses" villas which are just up the lachanada road - before the panorama resort.they are lovely individual cottage type dwellings each one ( there are 5 or 6 ) separate and private with stunning views over the village and bay.
it also seemed pretty cheap to us - we re vegetarian so meals would be cheaper than meat/ fish but we paid a total of between 17 and 22 euros for plenty to eat and 1/2 litre of local wine.
our only disappointment was not finding anywhere that rented out bicycles as we really like exploring the countryside.
great time though!Edited: 10:10 am, June 07, 2010
