Recommendations for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Hi Everyone, we are getting very excited about our June trip to Barbados. We are staying at Sapphire Beach Condos our family is 4 adults. We are in our late 40s and our kids are 21 & 19.

We are planning on taking a taxi from the airport and then renting a car the next day to explore. We have also booked a snorkeling trip. My question is more about the Sapphire Beach area and where to eat. I know there is a grocery store nearby but we are not going to do food shopping the first day. As Sapphire Beach is self-catering, what would be some suggestions for lunch and dinner the first day? What about breakfast the next day?

Is the Boardwalk near Sapphire Beach? How far is the gap? What exactly is the gap? Any place that we should really avoid?

There is so little information on the web regarding Barbados that although I am very excited it is also making me a bit anxious. All your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you fancy venturing a little way outside The Gap, fifteen minute walk down the road to Worthing and you will find Berts, Bubba's, Just Grillin, Shakers, Barbeque Barn, all do lovely food, with a special mention for Shakers which is just amazing!! Enjoy :-)

Hi Megadan:)

I am also traveling to Barbados and staying at Sapphire Beach at the end of June. When I read your post I was also eager to read the responses you would get as they would help us out also. I don't know what was in the deleted posts, but some people are just jaded, I guess:) Yes, it's easy to google and find general info, but when there are people who actually live there or have been there several times, it's nice to be able to get personal recommendations.

I hope you have a wonderful time. I'm also traveling with spouse and 2 kids, although younger than yours:)
