Free pork jerky samples near St Pauls/Senado Square?

When I visit Macau I think there is a street selling Macanese pastries, biscuits, pork chop buns, grilled meat jerkies near St pauls/Senado Square. Which street is it?

I think you are thinking of Dasanba Street:

On the google map, Macau, it is very confusing. I don't know which name comes first, the Chinese, English or Portuguese.

No worries. You can't miss it. It is literally the street that leads up to the Ruins of St. Paul, is very narrow and crowded with people sampling the free treats.

Having said that most of the Pastileria shops throughout Macau give away free samples for you to try so you don't really even have to find this spot to try the Macanese goodies. We mostly enjoy Koi Kei Bakery, which there are branches found throughout Macau. Choi Heung Yuen Bakeries. Here are some links for what you can look for if helpful.

Hope this is helpful and happy munching on Macanese specialities.

All the Koi Kei Bakery locations in Macau (but not Hong Kong) have free samples including at the ferry location. I was a pig and kept sampling without issue.

street names on sign are Chinese at top, then Portuguese.

English?

Or as I would say " Não falo português"

so in Macau- I guess Não falo inglês.

And for your info that street that leads to St Paul's Ruins from Senado Square is called Rua do S.Paolo

Rua is Portuguese for street

Dasanba--means in Cantonese St Paul's Ruins

@Smashing2- should had extended into Macau Soul--and have free wine sampling, even with nibble cheese and water biscuits.

We put a review out for Rua do S Paulo (Food Street) with a few pictures. This is where you can sample foods until you have no more tummy space. ;-)
