Hello deepalivg,

As my colleague, TSS, has suggested, it is very much possible. It is too bad you don't have more time in Macau as there are several days worth of things to do/see there. If you only have enough time for a day trip, you'll need to be somewhat selective about what you want to do/see. As such, have a look at the following links, which might prove helpful in your decision about what to do/see on the day trip.

Macau – Top Attractions (by area)

Macau World Heritage (by area)

Macau – Top Museums

Macau Day Drip from HK (what you need to know)

Also, ferries travel 24 hours a day now between Hong Kong and Macau so its easy to come and go whenever you feel like it.

Hope this is helpful.

The whole timing process to get to Macau is as follows

30mins Hotel to Ferry terminal

30mins Buy ticket and wait for next Ferry

60mins Ferry trip

15mins (or 30mins for weekends) Macau immigration.

So it essentially takes 2 - 2.5 hours from the time you leave your hotel until you reach Macau.

The return is similar.

So if you leave your hotel at 8am, expect to reach Macau at about 10-1030.

If you plan to leave with the 6pm ferry, then you need to plan to leave wherever you are at about 5pm.

That gives you only 7 hours in Macau. Not a lot given the amount of things to see.

Hi. Apologize to crash in.

I'm planning the vise versa. From Macau to HK. Is it same for the situation?

Yes the timing is pretty much the same. Although there is much much more to see in HK, so a day trip is really going to be rushed.
