See the Top Attractions for Macau (by area)

tripadvisor.com/GoListDetail-i26979-Macau_To…

This is a good list for planning your itinerary. Lots more than you can successfully finish in 2.5 days so just pick what interests you most.

If you have a particular interest in the World Heritage collection, will be helpful to have a look at the following trip list which breaks up the 30+ attractions into manageable sections.

Macau World Heritage

Have a look if useful.

>>>>Please also include any less popular but highly recommended place to visit in Macau.....<<<<

less popular attractions that we very much enjoy in Macau include

1.) St. Lazarus district streets, Tap Seac Gallery and Lou Lim Iok Garden.

tripadvisor.com/…REVIEWS

tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g664891-d506…

2.) Wine Museum and the Handover Gifts Museum (surprisingly good collection). See links.

tripadvisor.com/…REVIEWS

tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g664891-d2…

3.) Taipa Village

tripadvisor.com/…REVIEWS

But there are many other fun things to do/see in Macau. If you've children, you might be interested in the Giant Panda Pavilion where you can see our two lovely pandas for just MOP10 per person (one hour). However, you might not be interested in this if you have already seen the pandas at Ocean Park in Hong Kong.

Hope this is useful.

Hello again ShaineshB,

I might try something like the following.

Day 1

Coloane Area Attractions (after you check in)

A.) Giant Panda Pavilion

B.) Coloane Village

C.) Lord Stow's Bakery (Coloane, can skip as they have a branch at the Venetian)

D.) Hac Sa Beach (also known as Black Sand Beach)

Return to Venetian Hotel (afternoon)

A.) Venetian Canal Shopping area & Gondola Rides (Lord Stow's here as well)

B.) House of Dancing Water Show (City of Dreams) - 8pm show

-You'll need to reserve in advance, see their website.

Day 2

1.) Historic Centre of Macau (World Heritage Attractions)

A.) Senado Square

B.) St. Domingo's Church

C.) Ruins of St. Paul's

D.) Mount Fort and the Macau Museum

E.) A-Ma Temple

Grand Prix and Wine Museums (not far from Senado Square)

You'll likely have time remaining from afternoon to evening. You can see additional World Heritage attractions, visit large casinos in the area, like Wynn or make your way to Taipa.

Day 3

Taipa Area Attractions (can walk there from Venetian)

A.) Taipa Village

B.) Rua do Cunha

C.) Museum of Taipa and Coloane History

D.) Taipa Houses Museum

1.) Historic Centre of Macau (World Heritage Attractions)

Return to Venetian, pick up your bags and take the free shuttle to the ferry terminal for your return journey to Hong Kong.

A suggestion for travelling from Venetian to Macau Tower (if you wanna save some money) instead of paying approx HK$ 100 it would cost to take taxi from Venetian (cotai area) to Macau Tower (Main Macau) you could take the Venetian shuttle to the Macau Ferry Terminal and from there take a taxi to Macau Tower (which should cost you around HK$ 20-25). It's a lil round about way to travel but this is what one of the bell boys of Venetian suggested we do the last time we were staying there.

>>>>instead of paying approx HK$ 100 it would cost to take taxi from Venetian (cotai area) to Macau Tower (Main Macau)<<<<

This is not the correct taxi fare for this ride in Macau This ride would cost around MOP60 (HK$58), we've made it several times in recent years. See link.

tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g664891-i12409-k53…

Also the suggestion of going all the way to the ferry terminal, free Venetian shuttle and then onward to Macau Tower is a real waste of time. Instead, just walk over to the City of Dreams (COD) across the street from the Venetian and take their free shuttle service directly to Macau Towers. This would be quicker and cheaper.

If you are interested in including the Macau Towers, this is fine, just go on Day 2 when you are on the Penninsula visiting the World Heritage Attractions in the Historic City Center. You can go by taxi from here MOP25-30 or take a local bus. But just make sure you know why you are going to Macau Towers. If the sky conditions are good, its nice for views. If sky conditions are poor - skip the Macau Towers - you won't be able to see much. If you are planning on doing bungee - its a good inclusion.

I would not dine at the Macau Towers. Instead I'd recommend nearby excellent local restaurants like A Lorcha, located right next to A-Ma Temple, which you intend to visit. Or Henri's Galley, on San Van Lake, just opposite Macau Towers. Both are great restaurants. slightly cheaper and a good lunch option is Ali's Curry House, right next to Henri's Galley

We usually just walk. If you look at the Macau map, you'll see that most attractions are quite close together. The local buses and transport you around to others quite quickly and they are frequent and cheap. Macau maps have most bus stops listed well so its quite simply to figure out. Just have some loose change with you as they don't give change on the bus so Pataca (MOP) and dollar (HKD) bills are useful for bus journeys.

>>>Please let us know if we can accomodate .... St. Lazarus district streets, Tap Seac Gallery and Lou Lim Iok Garden?<<<

See the Macau World Heritage list Section one which includes each of these areas.

Macau World Heritage (by area)

tripadvisor.com/GoListDetail-i33082-Macau_Wo…

You can try to include these into Day 2 but they require some time enjoy so you might need to prioritize as you might have too much to do/see everything.

HI, re post no.9, after HoDW, can proceed to Taipa ferry terminal for your ferry back to Hong KOng.

Take Cotai Jet.

http://www.cotaijet.com.mo/sailing-schedule

there is just a slight difference in fare for night sailing 6pm onwards. No problems.

In Macau, you must not miss Aruna’s Maharaja Indian Curry- have veg and non veg.
