Mystical Siquijor

Mysticism has always been associated with this island province. Any suggestions on places to visit in relation to this (e.g. Rituals, rites, etc). I will be visiting Siquijor in a few weeks and this is something I want to experience.

Try contacting your hotel with regards to meeting one of the local healers, trying to find one yourself can be difficult. For around 500php, you can get a diagnosis [should you choose] from one of the islands mystical healers

Youll be disappointed if you truly believe in the mumbo jumbo mysticism such as sorcery, elves and fairies.

Siquijor is just like another sleepy province in the Philippines of which its charm lies.

I agree with Edwinic.

Go to Siquijor because you want to have a relaxing holiday in pleasant surrounds at bargain prices.

If you do find some thing out of the ordinary, count it as a bonus.

right now, this is a very controversial question.ask 1o people, get 10 different answers.my thoughts, is that the people are really beautiful and friendly there.we have local friends who escorted us everywhere.still i didn't feel threatened.consider the fact that an australian is being held right now somewhere by terrorists who are asking for $2 million ransom.mindanao/southern philippines is asian terrorist central.it's your call.

I would say that it is safer to travel alone in Siquijor rather than in Diliman. I had a conversation with a policeman in Siquijor and he told me than they are quite bored as almost nothing happen in the whole island.
