Cost to mail a card from Cuba to Canada

Does anyone know the cost of a stamp for a card fro Cuba to Canada? I do know that it could take at least 6 weeks, and quite possible not arrive at all, but we will be there over Christmas and my friend is bound and determined that she is going to mail her Christmas cards from Cuba.

I received a card from Havana to Canada a week ago and it took 17 days and the stamp has a 65 on it. I assume the 65 is pesos.

A letter I sent to Guadalajara, Mexico took 1 month to get there so 17 days is good service.

Our first ever trip to Cuba back in 2002. I sent a few postcards home from our resort. Guess what. They have never arrived.

Cheers

Yeah - i'm aware (from experience a couple of years ago) that letters mailed from a resort have about a 50/50 chance of ever arriving. And not just from Cuba. I've warned my friend of that but she still wants to do the Christmas card thing.

I think sending them this December for Xmas 2013 is just the right timing.

ps I always take such thing to an actual post office (correos) and have the stamp (which cost peanuts) franked. Will increase the chances but not guarentee!
