Helpful Bayahibe Maps ...

Hola.

I've been doing research for my upcoming trip to Bayahibe, and found the following maps/links very helpful in identifying where I'll be staying in relationship to my hotel, Dreams La Romana, the village of Bayahibe, La Romana, Dominicus and beyond.

I hope these links can be of assistance to fellow travelers as well.

Map of Bayahibe Village (with banks, hotels, restaurants/bars, bus stations listed):

There's a trail that goes from Dreams across to the Village of Bayahibe and then follows the ocean east to Dominicus. It's apparently a 50 minute or so walk (about 1.7 miles total). Sounds like a perfect tour/workout ... one that I'll definitely make. I'm told we should bring water tho - despite there being plenty of shade from an array of lush foliage.

Gracias (and shout-out) to Denise. She's photographed the journey and posted them on her discoverbayahibe website:

Now, let's get out there and enjoy!! Don't forget yer camera ... I know I won't. :-)

Buen viaje!

Nice one BFG! I got all this stuff manually over the last 6 months since booking dreams. Had everything printed out already. Wish you'd put this on 6 months ago :)

Excellent work putting it all on here.

Invaluable information for those not afraid to venture out of the hotel.

Ya know, I would have posted it up then, but hey, I didn't know I was going to Bayahibe six months ago!!!

Last month a buddy of mine convinced me I should spread my wings and see something new, and well, he was right, so here I am!! When are you heading down?

I'm there next Thursday!!!!

Cool beans, NYHappyToTravel! My pleasure.

14 years? This'll be like the very first time. (cue Madonna's 'Like a Virgin')

Yup, they sure do stock Presidentes, cokes and aguas daily in the mini-fridges, but with stunning grounds and jaw-dropping natural beauty all around, who wants to use that tastefully-appointed room for anything other than sleeping and a shower?! I'll be by the beach and the pools! Gracias.

Can ya blame me? ... I give ya Exhibit A:

Ahhhhh, I can't wait either. It's all good too ... those 17 days will come a lot quicker than the 14 year wait has been. (BFG ... forever the optimist, half-full glasser for 47 years and countin' now .... :-)

That's a good video that one, we did exhaustive research before booking and saw all the youtube vids that were on there back in January.

We've hired the private pool for the day which includes butler & massage :)

(It's at 02:10 on that video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ4UWioQTRk

Trust me, we'll hardly ever be in the room! In bed at 2:30AM after the casino & disco then back up at 6AM for breakfast :)

We'll sleep on the loungers around the pool & beach during the day.

Got lots of stuff booked off resort to do. Will spend quite a bit of time in Bayahibe Pueblo. Must visit Saona Cafe and also El Cafecito de la Cubana for lunch. Heard Cafecitos' Mojitos are the best ;)

Hola amigos!!

That's such a good look, Andy. I may have to plan a massage there myselff! AND ... I've also taken your advice and booked an excursion with Seavis! Yup, like you, I'm gonna do the Saona Crusoe VIP tour! Should be a quite the adventure - and it covers everything I wanna see in a single day.

For those interested ... Here's their map showing the 3 chartered tours offered along with the booking information:

Ahhh, Denise....

Gracias for posting the entire walk. You Rock! And I'm more than willing to Roll with ya for drinks... Just going over my schedule in my head, I won't arrive 'til Thursday around 2:00 or so and then, i'm free thru Monday. Friday night would be great, but I'm open, as knowing me, I'll likely be out every night... Let me know your preference. First rounds on me....

Let's Go!!! :-)
