Casino at Dreams La Romana -- how is it?

We're staying at DLR and heard there is a casino on the resort -- how is it? I read there is a larger casino in the Bayahibe area as well but was wondering how the resort one would be first. I'm a Blackjack and Roulette girl, but just wanted to know if it's decent-sized or just a few tables thrown into a room? Don't want to make a trip out to the other one (also called "Dream"?) when there's one on our actual resort.

Hola: It is pretty small. Only a couple of tables, and the rest are slots. Have not been to the other at Dominicus Beach. It ain't Las Vegas or Atlantic City. But you are on vacation and can have a good time.

Thank you Maineacs! Yea I figured it'd be small, but it being a part of the resort itself is kind of cool, looking forward to a great vacation!

The one at Domincus Beach is BAD! We just returned last night and will post a review soon.

Yes, small casino. They did give a 'free roll' ticket every evening for roulette. I think I was ahead on the week. Used it for tips LOL. They did have a few slots - more modern ones that took US bills. Most all worked, too. Unlike the Cat Royal where almost a third were out of order and you had to feed the coins in.

No craps, but they did have BJ, roulette, Caribbean stud. Low limits, too. I think $5.

I did spend an hour or two every evening there.

Be forewarned, the ATM machine does not give out dollars. You have to exchange the money at the cashier.

Bring your gambling money from home.
