So - does anyone know the extent of the damage from Irene at the Catalonia Gran Dominicus. I was going to book my trip this week for the end of October, but know I am uncertain as to what to do or should I chose another location!!

My people on the ground (ha!) say that all repairs were made in 2 days. Continue to plan!

Hi Monica :)

We are booked Feb 25 to March 5 at the Viva Dominicus Beach. Have you heard of any issues with this place due to the flood?

Cheers

Michelle, that was two months ago, the hotel has been running constantly, so there shouldn't be any issues. As a matter of fact our clients are at Viva right now and said they don't have any problems with their room.

And you are booked for the end of February! So don't worry :)

By the way the floods like this are common, and the guest were no evacuated out of the resorts, there were just moved to higher levels.

Happy travel

That's what we were told by others. After large storms when there is some flooding, the hotels are very quick to recover and back in top notch shape within a day or two!!

This did not stop us from booking, we are leaving a week from tomorrow for Catalonia Gran Dominicus! So excited!
