What to expect in Chrani

We are going to Chrani next months for 2 weeks holiday, staying at the Ilyra apartments. We like swimming & snorkelling, eating out at different tavernas until we find our favourite to return to for the last evening of the holiday, Greek music, Greek people obviously, some sightseeing of ancient sites, museums, towns & villages, peace and quiet, nice easy walks. In a 2 week holiday we usually hire a car for one week to get out and about - but no real long-distance drives because of back problems. Have we picked the right place for what we want?

Has anyone got a photo of the village square in Chrani or where the tavernas are

There isn't a village square as such, but a central area used as a car park for Socrates taverna, where some village events are held, opposite Poseidon cafe (Mary's).

I haven't got any photos at the moment of the tavernas, but I may get some in a few days (I only live 8km away). In the meantime here are some photos of Chrani in general,

None of them are too far away from each other though, Chrani is very small!

Chrani is a tiny hamlet, between the main road to Koroni and the sea. Three tavernas within one minute walk of each other, plus another three four or five minutes walk away. Very low key and quiet. Mary's is the only cafe/bar in the centre of the hamlet with a few others along the ribbon development of the main road.

The sandy beach was cleaned at the end of May and most of the small boulders moved to the back of the beach.

Going to the Panorama cottages (not apartments) shortly. There appears to be a beach bar/taverna a few yards north of us. Any comments about it, also best way to get to tavernas/shops, along road or top of beach?

Panorama cottages are next door to Kivotos beach bar, a large area up on the cliff, with steps down to the beach. A bit further north are two other beach bars right on the sand. To get to them the beach would be safer for walking as the road behind is the main road.

Some pictures of Chrani here,

No pictures of Kivotos, but I have added some of the Caribbean Beach Bar, the first of the two you will come to, the one with blue sunbeds is next door to it.

To get to tavernas & the mini markets the main road (south) is probably best as there is no path or walkway along the top of the beach & you probably wouldn't want to walk on the sand when you are dressed to go out for the evening & it's unlit.
