Hotel room rates in early September?

Hi everyone!

I will be in Greece from Sept 9-23 this year. I'm spending the bulk of my time in Crete, but most likely will be spending the first 2-3 nights on Mykonos (alone) as I wait for my family to arrive in Crete, where I will then meet up with them.

I've been to Mykonos 3 times in the last 10 years, so am quite aware of how pricey it can be, but have always gone in the middle of high season (July-Aug). This will be the first time I go when it's a little more subdued. I'm wondering what kind of room rates should I expect? I much rather book something on the spot when I get off the boat/plane. I find it more fun to be honest.

I'm not picky, all I want is a clean room, with a private bathroom, near to the central bus terminal in Mykonos town.

Would haggling down to the 60-80 Euros a night range (for one person) be a reasonable expectation for this time of year?

Did I mention Mykonos is my favorite place on planet Earth...well so far...

:)
