Ive read that men have to wear trousers to dinner, is this correct? Can you get away with chinos/denims?

See link below from the hotels website, I would not risk anything other than long trousers as there is a chance you can be tuned away for not having the correct dress

I wouldn't risk the demins but do think that a smart pressed pair of chinos would be ok providing they are long and not cut offs.

I've stayed here twice. Restaurant rules were pretty strict.

I didn't see any denim, shorts or cut-off trousers.

Whenever I've stayed I've not noticed a lack of jeans. I've certainly been in there wearing them, although usually only the first night before I've unpacked etc.
