Ryanair

Hi we fly home from PDC tomorrow :( when we came we realised we were allowed one shopping bag as in carrier bag per person as well as your usual hand luggage, does this have to be goods bought from airport or can we turn up in morning with hand luggage plus a carrier bag

Hi

The other week they were being very strict as to only ONE item of hand luggage.....if your duty free did not fit in your hand luggage then they were charging as hold luggage.....however it does seem to be who is on the gate and how much time they have before departure.......but Arrecife is one of the stricter airports.

I think thar you are allowed by european law to carry hand luggage and a seperate plastic bag containing your duty free goods.but try arguing that at departures and you are prob wating your time buy your drink and cigs before duty free and put them in your checked bags if you have space.

Ryanair have come to an agreement with some airports about allowing a bag of goods bought airside to be taken on board, as well as hand luggage. This is not applicable at all airports, and because you had it on the way out, you may not get it going home. I don't know whether Arrecife has come to an agreement with RYR or not. If they have, it has to be goods bought airside. Arrecife are definately strict when it comes to adhering to luggage rules, hand or hold.
