Los Mojones / Old Town

Hi

Can you help with opinions and experiences of the los Mojones area and the old town? We want to be as far from 'the strip' as possible and have been offered a very nice villa in Los Mojones.

Thanks.

Not to this area, well I have been to PDC before when I was 19, which was nearly 20 years ago.

We usually stay up in the hills near Teguise (town, not Costa) but with a new baby we want an easier walk into a nice harbour with shops, tapas bars, you know, where some locals go. Or in any case where the England Football Shirt brigade don't go!

Not interested in 'night life' unless that's having a glass of wine and some tapas or a paseo!

the harbour is a nice place to have a nice meal and people watch, although it is quite hilly around this area hope this helps.

I live just round the corner from Los Mojones - the area is fantastic, quiet, safe and only 10 mins from the Old Town/Harbour area. You´ll like it there!

Just returned from staying in a villa at the Los Mojones roundabout at the top of Reina Sofia.

The location was perfect. Far away enough from the strip but not too far that we couldn't stroll there with the children.

The only thing I would say is that the road at the top of Reina Sofia doesn't have any footpaths until you get halfway down the hill. It can be a bit precarious walking with the traffic.

Nice small/rocky cove at Playa Chica in the old town. It's lovely walking around here early in the morning before everyone is up and about.

A path winds along side the restaurants on hill overlooking the sea to Playa Chica. New paths and seats have just been installed over the last year. Some beautiful views of the mountains when the sun is setting :-)

Why do you need to be as far from the strip as possible ?? Do you think you'll catch something ?
