Tuscania Travel Article

If you read Italian, you might take interest in the following travel article on famous towns in the "Etruscan Lazium": Tuscania, Civita di Bagnoregio, Lago di Bolsena, and Calcata:

Even if you don't read Italian, the photos are nice.

Thanks for the article. I've just recently been to Tuscania on an Etruscan day trip with Stefano (romecabs.com) and visited the two churches mentioned in the article. Our visit there was cut short by pouring rain but it looked like a place to spend more time exploring.

If you are into Etruscan history, the nearby city of Tarquinia with its museum and painted tombs and the tombs of Cerveteri are must sees.

The two basilicas are indeed spectacular, and unexpected for such a small town!

And legend says that Tuscania was founded by Ascanius, son of Aeneas. Imagine that!

And, of course, "Lazium" (in my previous posting) should read "Latium" (or "Lazio" in Italian).
