Holiday money

We're going to Mirage Park, Kemer on 24th July for 2 weeks, it's our first time to Turkey and just wondering what you consider to be the best way of taking/exchanging your holiday money.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi

We are also going there, and believe the best currency to take would be a mixture of Turkish and Euro.

They seem to cater mostly for the more western eoropean travellers in this area. Most places do also accept English and Dollar, but have been told the Mirage hotel didn't accept English for some things that were on top of the all inclusive.

There is a bit on this in the other thread "sickness" below this thread.

Hope that helps

Have a fab holiday

Hi Arthur,

We were contemplating taking some cash but also relying on cash point withdrawals, but not really sure whether this is a good idea or even if there will be an ATM nearby.

We've been reading your thread about the sickness bug with great concern, some of the reviews have been really awful, but finally some light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you for the reply, and have a great holiday.

Answer to my own question!

Just returned from a great two week stay at the Mirage Park, and if you're in any doubt about which currency to take, my advice would be Euros, the majority of prices are in Euros (for the German market), some things are priced in US dollars (for the Russian tourists).
