If you are a zante first timer I would personally go for one of the self catering or b&b apartments or hotels, the resort has a large variety of good restaurants and bars of a very good standard at very reasonable prices,iv not stayed at either of these hotels you mention but they do look nice enough,we have never been all inclusive in Kalamaki but we spoke to quite a few people who went all inclusive when we were there this year who said they wished they hadn't bothered as there is such a good choice of restaurants and bars in resort,I'm sure you will love it tho wherever you choose to stay!!
Golden Sun was opposite us last week, looked like a nice hotel. Only a few minutes walk to the beach or the start of the main strip.
We stayed at the Marelen, and went on a B&B basis. Food is cheap, drinks not badly priced, but I suppose it depends on whether you want to stay around the hotel or travel about.
Really would not go ai its so reasonably priced to eat and drink and plenty to choose from you are spoilt don't do it
We stayed at klelia 2 years ago.Lovely hotel, drinks the usual watered down stuff but the food was good, pool was great and 2 mins from the beach. This was our one and only time all inclusive in greece (always do self catering at small complex)did it for the kids thinking it would be cheaper but because zante is so cheap we ended up eating out 4 nights. We're going kalamaki end of Aug and booked self catering at Dionysis and Tonia this time..... I'd personally go self catering.
We've just got back from klelia beach and I can't recommend it enough. We have been to zante before B&B and to be honest it didn't cost much more to go Ai... which was perfect for the kids even if it was just for the drinks and ice cream. We never felt the need to eat out as the food was brilliant but it is cheap to do so if you wish to.
Hi we went to golden sun in july this year it is a loveley hotel food great near the beach but it is a good 10/15 minute walk to the bars and restarants etc for this reason for 2017 we have booked klelia beach as everything on the doorstep xx sounds a lush hotel by the good reviews we love kalamaki/laganas thus returning nxt year
Klelia on the main 'Old Road' location is super...2 minutes ti the beach. However, why would you miss out on all the wonderful eating experiences in Kalamaki and beyond? Food is scrumptious. Wine is palatable. There are loads of great self-catering houses & apartments around Kalamaki. Antonios Pool Bar & Koulas come to mind. Enjoy Zakynthos..
Thankyou for all replies. We took advice and have now booked to go self-catering.
