Flying Visit!

We are road tripping around New England and have one full day in the white mountains - we are based in Jackson.

What would you recommend are the must-do's for that one day?

Weather permitting, drive up Mt. Washington on the auto road www.mtwashingtonautoroad.com/drive-yourself/ (or take a guided tour). Bring a jacket, it will be a lot cooler at the summit than the base. It is generally clearer in the morning, rather than in the afternoon.

Drive the Kanc http://www.kancamagushighway.com/ over to Lincoln, up to Twin Mountains, down 302 through Bretton Woods past the Mt.Washington resort omnihotels.com/FindAHotel/BrettonWoodsMountW… .

Mt Washington on a clear day is almost a must see. Do the 5 mile drive in Jackson and have a boxed lunch at Wildcat Falls on Carter Notch Rd. Depending on where you are going after Jackson you may be able to incorporate a longer drive, Kanc/ Bretton Woods when you leave.

when is this trip? I don't think any of your posts say and that can matter. Assuming this is a summer time trip, MW is a must do and maybe slow down and picnic at Jackson Falls or Diana's Bath instead of enlarging your carbon footprint.
