Williamsville Inn in West Stockbridge?

Planning a weekend in the Berkshires for mid-October.

Is the Williamsville Inn a good base for exploring?

We're interested in the Mount, the Clark Museum, and MoCa, plus antiquing and walks.

Thanks!

I personally think anywhere in the Berkshires in October is a good base for exploring, but you seem to have specific places you want to visit, and they're not anywhere near the West Stockbridge area. The Clark and the MoCa are up in Williamstown and North Adams, which are close to each other, but not close to W. Stockbridge. I'm guessing it's some 30-40 miles away. That's not to say you can't base in W. Stockbridge and easily visit those places while enjoying the scenery along the way, but if you prefer to be closer than look into lodging in Williamstown (if there's anything left).

Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge is worth the trip too.

Also, the town of Great Barrington is a treat to go poking around in. That's right down the road from West Stockbridge.

Hey, did you know that the residents of the Berkshires created their own Currency? It's called a BerkShare and it's accepted by over 360 businesses there. Of course the U.S. Dollar is also accepted, but it's pretty unique, and would make a nice trip memento to take home with you.
