Take the Lonely Planet greek phrase book with you and use it all the time, surprising how much help you get with the locals and try to learn something every day, worked with me.

Hope you enjoyed your Greek lesson. I've been going to a class for the last 4 years, and just started another year last week.

Take it you’ll soon be multi-lingual then or is it tough going. Something I’ve always wanted to do but never got around too.

Its really good, i've got a podcast on my MP3 Player to listen too, just to keep listening to it.

I'm enjoying it, its just at a local school for 2 hours on a tuesday. You can then go on to do a GCSE in Greek which i'm thinking about doing too. Go for it

I went to Greek evening classes a few years back and loved them! I had to give them up late into my pregnancy and sadly the lovely teacher from Crete we had has passed away now. There doesn't appear to be anyone in the West Sussex area holding lessons now so am envious of you! I used to look forward to my weekly 2 hour lessons as they were always fun, learnt something new about the Greek way of life and also gave me my "Greek fix" throughout the winter months.
