As you say goody goody closed down.
Irish pubs in the harbour , one by the slope other on the side street by the harbour have shut, can't say I miss either, but the rest are all open, prices ok and everywhere buzzing with people, all the main favourites still open, lots of. People about.
Seems to be a more cosmoplitain crowd here at the moment the the normal UK crowd, nice to hear so many different languages on the beach.
It sounds as though the resort is doing OK anthonyedgerton. It isn't good for any resort to become exclusively one nationality or another .The island is attracting more non British guests than before which is good for it IMO - it spreads the risk of a decline in popularity with the British (the potential effect of Brexit is causing concern to locals naturally) and lets face it - if someone British wants to holiday surrounded by Brits, it is just as easy for them to go on holiday in the UK.Edited: 1:48 am, July 10, 2018
