There is a comprehensive bus service in 66.

Off season services focus on local markets and schools, supplemented by summer only services that are used by the vast majority of holidaymakers who do not rent a car on the coasts.

There are various special deals, with maximum one way fares of €1, and weekly passes etc available.

Info on regional bus services :

St Cyprien is served by routes 420 ( to Perpignan) and 421 (Millas).

421 also goes on to St Cyprien Plage. 410 runs along the coast from St Cyprien Plage to Banyuls

Ah, sorry -- I had the St Cyprien in the 24 on the brain....I forgot there's another one further south.

Some confusion, but there are train connections from Carcassonne to Perpignan and the bus connections from Perpignan to St Cyprien noted above.
