calm snorkeling off beach in Middle Caicos

We are traveling to Turks and Caicos in April staying in Provo.

This is our 2nd time back and this time would like to visit Middle Caicos - Can anyone recommend calm off the beach snorkel sites while in Middle Caicos. We will have our 10 yr old son with us. It sounds like renting a car is our best bet. Any recommendations.

I am also very curious about specifically where on Bambara Beach (perhaps in relation to the location of accomodations or other landmarks) or east of Bambara beach one might find decent snorkelling from shore. We have heard that there is a decent coral head or two 2-minutes walk west of Dreamscape villa. We don't know if that means 10minutes worth of fun or a large enough area to keep us busy exploring for the two weeks we're thinking of spending on Bambara next winter.

The Prospect of Whitby is worth walking around in. Although make sure you wear sneakers because there is a lot of glass and debris around caused by the looting and years of neglect. So be careful. As you walk around you can just imagine how wonderful the resort must have been.
