it is quite possible to walk right along the sea front. After the 2 beaches past the chapel on the small promontory, you walk along the road until it turns sharp right. Just walk down on to the beach and walk past the hotel. Then you will come to a large rather straggly beach and just carry on. eventually you will come to a couple of small harbours and a lovely little fisherman's chapel on the outskirts of Analipsi. If you are lucky you will meet some fishermen looking for the expensive delicacy sea-urchin eggs on the way! Analipsi has quite a few hotels, shops and tavernas. To get back to Gouves I suggest you wither re-trace your steps or walk up to the main road and get a bus.

If you want to kow exactly how far it is, Google Earth is great for in-depth investigation. 2-3 miles each way depending on where you start.

Hi thee

It's a pleasant walk as long as it's not too hot. We walked this last September starting from Anissaras, via Analipsi, all the way to Gouves where an old friend manages a taverna, had a couple of drinks and some lunch, then walked all he way back.

Its a nice walk along the beach from Gouves to Analipsi, we have done it a few times, although last year we noticed that the first hotel as you leave Gouves main area on the beach has security trying to encourage you not to pass along what they consider there beach, just ignore and enjoy the walk !....head for Posiedon or Tritonas for a deserved mythos or frappe !

Yes, Tritonas in Analipsi is a great restaurant for a snack, a meal or just a beer. We ate there several times last September for both lunch and evening meal and it was never less than exceptional.
