Arriving Ibiza on Saturday - suggestions please

Hi

Hubby, myself and our 2 daughters (aged 16 and 4) arrive on Saturday for a week, we will have a car and we're staying in the bay area. Never been to Ibiza before.

Looking for some ideas

1) for family dinners - don't mind driving, love spanish/tapas, indian and italian

2) sunsets are amazing - where would be the best to view and take pics

3) is there a waterpark? will it still be open?

Any suggestions for anything would be brill. Fingers crossed for the sun to stay shining....

Thank you!!

Katmandu restaurant in Santa Eularia is one of the best indian places on the Island. Worth a drive up that area to sight see.

You are in the right area for sunsets. nearby Cala Conte is good for sunsets as is Hostal La Torre for dinner some evening. Its just outside San An.

There is a new waterpark in the Bay of San An at Sirenis Country View Hotel, not sure if its still open best to call in and see.

Last week the water park in the grounds of the Sirenis Park hotel was open, but it's pricey if you're not staying there.

In the bay area there is a sunset bar called Kumharas - http://www.kumharas.org/

We hired a car for a day and we were also staying in the bay area. In one full day we had 3.5 hours in Ibiza Town, which included walking to the top of Dalt Vila www.ibiza-spotlight.com/ibiza/daltvila_i.htm , then we went up to Portinax and had a few hours on the beach, then made it back to the Sunset Strip for 6.30pm to watch a sunset. I would recommend doing at least those things.

If you go to the Ibiza Spotlight website there are some self-drive island tours - ibiza-spotlight.com/guide/island_tours_i.htm

A drive to some of the beaches listed on that site is also worth doing.

There is also the original Hippy Market in Es Cana on Wednesdays you could drive to.

If you fancy a change from driving you can get a water taxi boat from the bay area over to San Antonio for €2.50 each way or €4 return but they are only running until 8pm at this time of year. To walk to San Antonio from the bay area it's approx. 40 mins.

Hope that helps.

We loved the beaches at Gran S'Arenal near Portinatx, and the beach at Vadella (if you get a chance). Vadella beach is also a good place to watch the sunset.
