Walk along the seafront to the main strip at the Urbanisation, Av. el Mediterraneo. 10 mins walk. Lots of good restaurants there. Try Ales & Patricia, see this review tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g644309-…

Or for Tapas - La Gamba de Oro ----

See this web site for info on the greater area.

we ate out one night at a lovely restaurant. If you come out of the back of the hotel onto the beach and turn right, Walk for about ten minutes and you will come to a hotel called the Sabinal you will know which one it is as there is a children's play/fair area outside opposite there is a wonderful Italian restaurant (don't know the name but you will know which one it is) Food was beautiful and staff were excellent even an English waiter who catered for all our needs.

Great price and a selection of English/Italian/Spanish and many more foods.Highly recommended.

The one on the very corner directly opposite the Castor Park (play area) is Mamma Pizzeria. Further along, opposite the main entrance of the Hotel Sabinal, is Restaurante Pizzeria ROMA, a bit more upmarket and better rep than the other one. Either of those where you mean?

Both these are just around the corner from the two I mention above, spoilt for choice in a hundred yards. If you pass the Sabinal and keep going for a few more hundred yards you come to Ave Playa Serena, the main hotel strip, and loads more bars and restaurants.

The best thing to do is use a debit card in ATMs, rather than change currency. There are some at the hotel and dotted all around Roquetas. NB if the machine offers you a choice of exchange rate in sterling or in Euros then always opt for Euros, less commission and charges at both ends that way.
