Park suite or Spa Suite

2 couples heading here in July. Is there a difference in the two rooms ? Are there other perks to paying more for the Spa section to justify the extra cost ?

Cant seem to find out what the room differences other than adults only

Heard that Parks people may be barred from the Spa? As you can pay less for Parks and use Spa. Adults only of course. Need to confirm this restriction. When we were there the rooms were the same both sides.

Enjoy

The rooms are the same. Only difference is the "adults Only" area that is the Spa Section. Not sure if it has started yet or not but the plan was to start using different colored bands so that the people who cheap out and book the Park Suites to save a few bucks can't wander over and use the Spa Section for the peace and quiet. finding it to noisy with the families playing in the Park Suites pool. One can understand why this is being done. That area can only handle so many and it's enough for the Spa Guest...add the Parks as well and the place is not nice to be around.

Not sure how busy the Park section will be in July but if you are looking for quiet, don't take the chance, pay the extra and book the Spa unless you are ok with kids and their playful noise.

Ditto on what Sunlover stated above. We love the Spa section as it is tranquil and no crying baby next door or spoiled brat yelling it's lungs off (heard a couple while walking through the park area a couple of times as well as met some people that paid the difference to change areas as one child next door to them screamed all night). They are supposed to implement the different bracelets as during the high season there was an overflow of people around the spa section pool due to adults from the park section using it, so many spa section guests couldn't even get a lounger.

I was there the end of May and the bracelets weren't any different. There were people at the Spa pool that I met on the bus on the way there that paid for Park Suites. The Spa pool was glorious as there wasn't the screaming/crying nonsense you would hear at the other pool, dinner, beach, lobby.

I would spring again for the Spa Section. We are heading back next spring with the kids, so we can't do Spa :(

There are differences to the rooms. As far as I know, all of the spa rooms have walk in closets and a regular door (not sliding) leading to a large balcony. In night one of our second trip we were in the non-spa side and didn't like the room. No walk in closet and the sliding door to balcony was stuck - and room was musty. The spa rooms are a little farther from the beach but much preferred them.

All the rooms are the same in each building. Some have walk - in's others don't , some have siding doors some don't, It all depends on the position of the rooms. The corner rooms are the largest in both sections . I have stayed in all section over the last 5 years. Only difference is the "family" has children and if you don't wnat to be around them when you are in your room or the pool, book the Spa section. New bands are supposed to be in place sometime soon if not by the busy season 2014.

Got word from the general director that the different bands have started to be implemented and a sign stating "spa guests only" will be put up soon. So if you want to hang out in the 18+ area pool, you should book the spa section.
