Probably no-where. They are not seen here now. Don't bother, seriously.

There are other ways of avoiding having to carry loads of cash around.

Travellers cheques are going the same way as video tape and morse code.

Get a Caxton FX euro Visa pre paid card.

They are free and there are no charges for withdrawing euros from ATM s or paying restaurant / shop / hotel bills.

Plenty of cash machines, at least half a dozen that I can think of if not more.

We always tend to get decent rates I have found, hence why I only ever tend to change £100 or so into euros before we go, then use the ATM's. I can't be bothered with the faff of either carrying hundreds of pounds in euros or getting a card like the Caxton card that so many people seem to rave about.

I'm happy using my UK bank account, I can access all the money I need from there instead of having to "top-up" a second card, only to find we need more cash for whatever reason, so have to move money onto it, only to find you didn't need all of it, so move it back, yadda yadda yadda....

Each to their own and all that, but I have done the same thing for many years now all over the world, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

I used to always use the Barclays in Alvor but that's now closed I went to the Banif Bank which as it turned out gave me a better deal than Barclays.. magic :0))
