We want to go to Pertisau to ski in mid Feb. Anyone know of smaller quaint places to stay?
May B & B's or bungalows?
Have a look at what the region has to offer
Please Note whenever looking for accommodation always check the EXACT location of any property. Do not rely on the property's "town" address or Hotels blurb.
Small one horse towns/isolated property do not have their own "postal" address and therefore have to take the name from the nearest town. You could find yourself literally miles form where you thought you were going. I've known properties 6km away from their postal town ,4km of which was up a mountain road.
The several towns in the area of Achensee and really distinct to themselves due to the lake and mountains that border them.
Pertisau to me is the better for cross country - classic and skating - many kilometers of trails. Nice choice of accomodations.
pertisau is on the west side of the lake .
To the north of the lake is Achenkirch- less picturesqe to me.
Maurach to the est side is nice and access to downhill skiing too.
The smaller village Steinberg- less convenient -
Pertisau with nice choice of B and B / Pensions - a favorite of german people -
The travel website will give fine choices-
Often breakfast is included in room price and usually a good buffet to fill you .
Half board can be a good choice too .
