No. If you are caught you will have to pour it all out.

That being said, if you are not drunk, and have your libations in a large thermal cup, chances are you will not be caught.

Yep, Kris is right about that but I have to tell you that we have never had a problem with having drinks on the beach. Just put your beer or cocktails in a plastic cup and keep it cool. Actually in all my years of partying on the beach at AMI I have never even seen law enforcement ON the beach. It's a very laid back atmosphere and as long as you are not bothering anyone you should been just fine....enjoy!

Please, no glass bottles. One year we saw a couple of young guys take a 6 pack into the water with them. Half an hour later they came out, without any of the glass bottles. Not cool!

thanks! no, we are not alcoholics. several years ago we went to virginia beach at dusk, hubby wanted to fish the surf, I sat there with a book and we each had 1 can of beer. no on else on the beach. along comes beach patrol on quads and we each got a $100 fine for 1 beer! needless to say we haven't been back

Okay, not likely on AMI. Just be discrete, or however you spell that. No one cares about someone indulging secretly. It's the folks who are really blatent. Okay, we once had a bunch of teachers, off for the summer, with their wine glases and jug. You will not have a problem unless you are "drunk and disorderly.

What? $100.00 fine for a can of beer? That is terrible. I dont blame you for never going back. I'm not advising this but I will tell you that our group drink beer, in the can, in a cooly cup and none has ever bothered us. We NEVER use glass, accidents happen and then you could put others in danger walking in the sand.

You guys will have a great time on the island, with your beers!
