Is Grand Bend still PARTY city ????????

I am looking to rent a cottage for my husband and two children in Grand Bend, I know when we were younger it was a major hang out for teenagers & partyers We want to stay away from that, I also want a nice sandy beech that is not overcrowed. Where is a good place to stay??? We were thinking of renting a cottage but i am open to other options. Or do you thing we should go somewhere else???

You will find that little has changed at Grand Bend. It is still the party place that it always was. Maybe more rowdy now than then. Why not try Sauble Beach or Southampton. We enjoy these areas and we are senior citizens.

Bayfield isn't far and it's much more relaxed.

Grand Bend is still a big party town in summer. Lot's of 18 - 30 year olds and older people who act like they are 18 - 30 year olds...not pretty!

Check out Goderich or Kincardine. Both towns are fairly busy in the summer but they're not insane and both have nice sand beaches.

There is a great shallow sand beach perfect for kids just a few kilometers north of Kincardine at Inverhuron Provincial Park. It's just reopened so it's never crowded and makes for a great day trip/picnic spot from either town.
