wots the rate of the euro in Puerto Rico gran canari please dont know if I should bring all euros with me or both euro and sterling thanks

I was there for 2 weeks until monday....it was 116 most of the time no better than in britain really....I got my euros with travelex online over £500s worth at 119....

I agree with Kevin. In times gone by I have seen the rate better in PR than in the UK but with Ramsdens, Cheque centre etc offering great deals then I would take euro with you.

The rate won't vary much which means that safety should be a prime consideration. 500 pounds in a thieves pocket is a rotten exchange rate.

look through these forums for pre loaded cards or check with your Bank about rates with cards. Always draw out in euros and when using a card to pay make sure it is clear you are paying in euros not sterling.
