hi we have hired a car from malaga airport and will be driving to pradallano at the end off feb will we need snow chains and is it a law in spain for mountain driving .

It's a good idea to have chains in the car. Generally they are quite quick to clear the main road after it snows, but there's always a risk that you get caught up in bad weather. Your biggest problem would be if you were stuck up at the resort and were unable to get back down for your flight.

Take the motorway north from Malaga (A45), head east to Granada on the A92, then follow signs for Sierra Nevada, which will take you around the south side of the city. Total journey time roughly 2 1/2 hours.
