Less than a month now until I finally leave for my Yellowstone adventures and I am getting very excited!
The one booking I had/have that wasn't quite sitting comfortably with me was my night in a Lake Yellowstone Frontier Cabin. As cute as the little yellow cabins look, we are a party of 4 (3 adults and 1 child) and I just know we would feel squished in 2 double beds.
However, I just noticed today, when looking through the Fall Newsletter, that the Lake Lodge Western Cabins have extended their opening days by a week. I'm thinking that this is a fairly recent change, as I had no issues nabbing a cabin for our end of September stay. So excited to now have Queen beds instead of doubles.
We will need to check in at Lake Hotel as all other Lake Lodge facilities will be closed, and I must say, these cabins look pretty ugly from the outside, but it's our comfort while we are inside the cabin that matters to me most.
Anyway, I will ring up this weekend to cancel the Frontier cabin, but I am worried about what this will mean for our Lake Hotel Dinner reservation. Does anyone know if I will be able to keep it given that we are under 60 days and there is no restaurant open at Lake Lodge during our stay? Or do you think my booking will cancel with my cabin reservation and I will need to get the person on the phone to rebook as fast as possible before the slot is taken?
I realize I will find the answer to this once I ring, but it would still be nice to have a heads-up. If losing our dinner reservation is a possibility, we may opt to stick with the Frontier Cabin.
Thanks in advance :)
