Flying in to Jackson Hole in June

This may seem like a stupid question...

Most airports do not use the same landing strip depends on weather and air traffic conditions. I do recall that when landing one side the airplane can clearly see the glorious Tetons the other side does not have the same opportunity.

Is is just a luck of the draw as to what side of the plane you happen to be sitting on and what landing strip is used on that particular day?

Either way flying to Jackson is a terrific experience landing at the base of the mountains.

Depends on the weather. Only runway is 1/19, almost north to south. The winds that day will determine the approach. One side will get the view of the mountains.

From the Pilot Information

Runway 1: Runway 1 is the preferred arrival runway.

Runway 19: Runway 19 is the preferred departure runway

Due to prevailing winds in Jackson Hole, 90% of planes land north to south. Therefore, the better view of the Tetons will more often be on the starboard side of the plane.
