Parking in peak season

If a parking lot is full in an area are you allowed to park on the side of the road? We are leaving this Wednesday and we will be in a group with 5 vehicles at some times.

If there are safe pullouts, yes. Otherwise, please don't. You run the risk of hurting or killing someone. The roads are not wide, and often twisted. If an RV is trying to pass a car blocking a road they could flatten someone. Try to get to your higher priority spots early.

If you park on the side of the road for anything including wildlife jams, you must have all four of your tires on the right side of the white line...so that means your whole car must be off the road. Getting 5 rigs into some of the pullouts is going to be a squeeze.

Whatever you do, don't just stop in the middle of the road to look at something.
