Restrooms?

Just wondering how easy it is to find a restroom when you are out and about the park. I'm sure it's not difficult at the major spots, but what about some of the semi popular trail heads and picnic areas?

Pretty sure all the picnic areas have one. There's a couple scattered in Lamar Valley. One at Slough Creek and another one on out at a turn out.

The picnic areas have vault toilets. With the exception of the Mt Washburn trailheads (Dunraven and Chittenden sides) the trailheads do not have bathrooms unless the trailhead starts at a picnic area. The Mt Washburn Fire Lookout has vault toilets for public use but no water. If you do hike it be sure to take lots of water.

While there are full bathrooms in the major areas, pit toilets are also scattered throughout the park. The best advice though is not to wait until it becomes an "emergency" to go looking for one. I believe the way it's worded in park literature is, "Never pass up a chance to take a bathroom break." "The next facility may be farther away than you think."
