baseball tickets

Will be going to a Reds game this August for first time. When visiting a new city I usually buy tickets on the street from scalpers before gametime. Is this legal and easy to do? Where do you buy them?

thanks

Go here to buy your tickets:

cincinnati.reds.mlb.com/schedule/index.jsp…

It is the official MLB site! Bought tickets from here and if you buy the official tickets it also includes a free pass to the Baseball Museum!

The Dreads are in last place and have the worst record in the NL, that being said you can buy tickets from scalpers legally if they have bought their street vendors license. You can probably buy them for face value because most games are not sold out. If you're not happy with the prices you can still walk up to the gate and buy your tickets. Games that will be sold out are bobble head giveaways and maybe Cubs games. Most scalpers are along 3rd street though some are on Fourth and also Pete Rose Way..

Also the free pass to the Reds Hall of Fame museum ends in July so it won't do you any good if you go in August

Scalpers are an option anywhere within 3 blocks of the stadium (don't have any knowledge on whether its legal, but i know its not enforced), however, you can usually gets seats ahead of time through the Reds website. Most sections should be open - when games do sell out here, it is all walk-up sales.

just get them from a scalper if it's not a rivalry game or on the weekend. if the game is undersold by several thousand seats you can get tickets BELOW face. never pay face unless it is expected to draw a large crowd. i'm sure you know to always offer a lower price than what they want to sell them for.
