2 nights where to stay with kids, pool important

Hi, we are staying in Waikiki on our way home to Australia, I know it's going to be very busy as it's in August.

My question is, where can anyone recommend we stay?

I have booked the outrigger beach, however now I'm not so sure as I'm not wanting a loud hotel that is dated, we will be staying after a 10hr flt from NYC, so would like a nice relaxing time.

I like the Modern, but don't want to pay US$330+tax a night! which they have quoted.

A nice pool is important & so is a nice, quiet, modern room.

Price that I would like to pay would be around US$280 a night inc. all tax & fees. Is this possible? Any suggestions?

Thanks heaps

Thankyou so much for all your advice, it's very helpful. To be honest I am making an assumption the Outrigger Beach will be loud! I have been there, I like it as I love dukes but worried it will be noisy as we would like a little sleep coming off a long flight & then heading out again after only 2 nights. I will now check out the Parc, Trump & Marriott, thankyou. I've stayed at the Prince, I like it there but want to try something different. Thanks again.

We have stayed in Oceanfront rooms directly above Dukes on both our stays at OWB. With lanai door open you can hear a little noise in the distance. With it shut, we couldn't hear a thing. Very quiet and very comfortable rooms that have been very recently renovated. Pool is smallish but nice and in a fab location almost on the beach itself.

I would stick with the OWB if I was you. Free wife, no resort fees, very nice rooms, great location for beach, restaurants and shops.
