Waikiki Dinner Cruise

We are here now and would like to book a dinner cruise for this week. See lots of adds but does anyone have a recommendation? Hoping for good food :)

I'd skip it. Do a sunset cocktail cruise, then go have a good dinner.

This question comes up every so often on here.

It's an attractive notion, but unfortunately the food and service reviews are really bad! Especially at the prices asked.

The most commonly given recommendation is what AkamaiNick gave above. Take a cocktail sail, enjoy being out on the water, then have a good meal somewhere on shore.

Thank you! We were wondering if that was the case. Will look into other options.

We have done both (despite being advised not to do a dinner cruise). We paid nearly $250 for the dinner cruise and the "lounge" we were put in was disgusting, and the only edible food was the dinner roll. On the other hand the sunset cocktail sail was excellent. Don't waste your money on dinner cruise but do spend the money on the cocktail sail - speaking from experience in June.

I'd love to go on a boat as well, this sounds like a great option.

Thanks

we have done a sunset cruise with na hoku II on all four of our visits. we've always had a great time, but their website is problematic and it can be difficult to get in touch with them by phone. most of the times we booked a day or two in advance, by talking to the staff on the beach.

we'll be back, next month, and we've decided to try mai ta'i catamaran. i booked online, so we're all set.

fifteen sleeps until maui and 21 until oahu. :-)

CAhappy59, welcome to the forums.

Did you read responses #1, 2 & 4?

Just say no to dinner cruises. They sound good, but are not.

Do a cocktail cruise or even better, a mai tai catamaran sail that leaves off Waikiki Beach and use the money you save for a great, land based dinner.

We like Na Hoku II.

Thanks scottca075 and onelife. We would probably be bringing my in-laws who are in their 80s. Would they enjoy these or are there others that are more calm?
