Newport this weekend!

We are arriving in Newport on Thursday morning and leaving Sunday. Where do you suggest we eat? I love seafood and would like to eat at nicer places for dinner and more casual places for lunch. When and where do I need to make reservations etc? Thanks in advance!

Hiya JR,

https://www.mooringrestaurant.com/ - on water can walk there from just about any hotel

http://www.castlehillinn.com/ - if you have never been to Newport and have $200 or more to spend on dinner go here.. you need a car, but you will eat looking at views that might be top 10 in the country

https://www.scalesandshells.com/ - not on the water, but if you just care about the Seafood, its exceptional - U should be able to walk to this too

https://www.clarkecooke.com/ - you really have to go here... not sure how old you are, but when Dennis Conner lost the American Cup..this is where he got drunk after. Its super nautical and its super Newport. Also, walking distance from most hotels.

Anyway, I’ll let someone else give you some suggestions, but the ones I gave you are solid. BTW, all of these places have tons of other types of food other than Seafood.

Here’s one more…

http://midtownoyster.com/ - this place doesn’t do it for me…but its super popular and it’s got a great deck on the 2nd floor to people watch and have a drink.

Have fun

Dan

At the Mooring, be sure to have a bag of donuts for an appetizer .Make an Opentable reservation at Mooring

If you go to Scales and Shells, the fried oyster appetizer is great as well as the toro tuna entrée...........we like everything there! No reservations at Scales

Breakfast at Belle's Café is fun if the weather is good!

I got interrupted.......

Lunch at Brick Alley..........love their lobster bisque.

Castle Hill has the best views.......you can go for drinks on the lawn if you don't go to eat. You could also do lunch at Castle Hill.
