recommendation for Frank Lloyd Wright house?

Hi there, I'll be visiting Buffalo at the end of August mostly to see one or two Frank Lloyd houses. I don't really know how to choose which to see. Any recommendations for the top 2 or top 3 houses to visit?

Hi songaway, Yes, the Darwin Martin House is a must-see!!! You can also tour the Graycliff home out on Lake Erie but it's not as advanced in restoration work as the Darwin Martin House and it takes around 45-minutes to drive there from Buffalo. Here is the Graycliff website: http://graycliffestate.org/ Reservations for Graycliff are required. Reservations for the Martin House are highly recommended as they often sell-out their tours.

All the other FLW houses in Bflo are private dwellings and you can only see them from the street. Here is a list of all the FLW bldgs in Bflo: buffaloah.com/a/archs/wright/buff/index.html Note that the boathouse and the Blue Sky Mausoleum are *new* builds based on FLW drawings. Also, the Larkin Administrative Bldg was demolished in 1950 :(

Please let me know if you have any other questions about FLW or Buffalo.

Happy travels!

-Dee
