June trip

Heading up late June. Staying in Buffalo due to a commitment so plan is:

Half day Friday Uber to the maid of the mist

Sunday Uber to Falls NY side

walk over rainbow bridge

Cave of winds

Skylon tower

Want to stay for Fireworks so need a good restaurant and other things of interest to fill in between. And can I see the fireworks from NY or hang out on Canadian side for the viewing. Then Ubering back to Buffalo

Any help would be appreciated for a pre teen boy and mom ;)

For good food and GREAT views, on the Canadian side, I would suggest The Keg Steakhouse on the 9th floor of the Embassy Suites Hotel, overlooking the Falls.

Hello may,

Just a note that Maid of the Mist & Cave of the Winds are both located on the American side of the Falls. Not sure if the Discovery Pass is worth the $$, but you could check prices on websites or post your question on the Niagara Falls, New York forum. Remember that to cross the border you must have passports.

Just a thought, once you've seen the Falls & done the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds (both fantastic experiences!), you might not feel the need to return for a second day. You could spend time in Buffalo, like at Canalside (you can see where all the water comes from that pours over the Falls). Buffalo has a nice small zoo that's great for little ones. The Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site is an interesting place for a bit of American history. Elmwood Avenue and Hertel Avenue are great streets for window shopping and people watching.

Whatever you do, bon voyage!

When you say Uber to Maid of the Mist one day, then Uber to NF another day, that's the same Uber trip taken twice. Basically you mean visit the Falls twice, and also go over the Rainbow Bridge to the road along the Canadian side of the Falls (12 minutes to walk over the Bridge+ Customs, then 10 minutes to Clifton Hill). Don't forget your passport, and expect Customs in EACH direction.

Discovery pass is way better than paying admissions individually if and it allows you to hop on and off the trolley to all the attractions. They are good walks away from each other. It is also great that it doesn't have to be used in the same day.
