Karaoke in Northhampton

Hi All,

I know this is not the Northampton board, but there seems to be very little action going on at that board and more information about Northhampton on the Springfield board.

Is there any place that does Karaoke on Saturday nights in Northampton? Four of us are planning to stay one night (after a day at Six Flags) on Saturday, September 13th. My husband loves Karaoke.

We range in age from 28 to 50, with me being the 50 and I would prefer not to go to a place with a bunch of crazy college kids a la Animal House. I really don't know what to expect out of this town, particularly the nightlife. Since it is a college town and it is near U Mass Amherst, which is known to be a big party school, I want to make sure I don't get us into a crazy place where ppl are vomiting and swinging from the chandeliers (hee hee).

Thanks in advance.

I can't tell you were to go for Karaoke in Northapton, but I can fill you in on the town. Northampton has a very active nightlife for a town of its size, but it is not at all dominated by drunken (or sober) college students. A lot of the poeple you see hanging out are in the 30-50 age range and are drawn from the surrounding communities. Northampton has become the area's entertainment hub. There are a lot of bars, cafes and medium to high-end restaurants, places to see live music, movie theaters and independently owned stores. Politically it's a very liberal town and it is known for its large lesbian population.
