Santa Fe or Sedona?

If you had the choice of a vacation for a week, would you go to Santa Fe or Sedona?

A full week in either town is great and there are plenty of places in the surrounding areas around these towns to visit. I would say Sedona is more about the desert and rock formations and Santa Fe is more about the arts, dining and Native American and Spanish culture. Sedona is close to Grand Canyon Nat Park too. Sedona is lower in elevation and will be warmer in the winter months. Santa Fe does get snow during the winter and a ski area is located nearby.

Have fun where ever you go.

Similar issue. We decided to do both next month - 3 nights in Santa Fe and 4 in Sedona.

Sedona is rather specific and not enough for a week unless you plan to more relax, spa, etc. Santa Fe has a lot in itself (State capital as well as 4 centuries of settlement) and has much surrounding too (Albuquerque, Taos, Abiquiu, etc.)

Interestingly, the famous red rocks in both places are the same - different parts of the Colorado Plateau (more so near Abiquiu)
