Best time to go to Santa Fe?

We're planning next year's annual "girls only" trek and are considering flying to Albuquerque, then driving to Santa Fe. When is the best time (weatherwise) and how many days should we plan on? Our interests are some sightseeing, and shopping is a priority!! Should we plan on a day or two in Albuquerque as well?

Thanks for your help.....this site is awesome!!

November weather is variable. You may need just a warm sweater and possibly coat and hat in the morning with early snow that would melt by noon. It may only get up to 50F during the day---but it will be a sunny day. Most New Mexicans don't wear heavy coats because they know the day will warm up and they won't need them by the afternoon.

Snow is not likely in Santa Fe in Nov, but possible and as the ABQgirl stated, it would be gone by noon. No chance in Nov if you are going to ABQ. Not staying for thanksgiving!!?? Don't you want to see how the real his-tory took place with all the Indian, i mean native american folks and your generous ancestors??!!
