Here is a virtual cornucopia of attractions and activities: tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g60956-Activitie…

I would personally recommend breakfast at Mi Tierra, visiting the San Antonio Botanical Gardens which give an overview of each ecological area of Texas (as early in the morning as possible to beat the heat), visiting El Mercado for souvenirs and a taste of Mexico on this side of the border, San Antonio Museum of Art, and of course taking the trolley tour of the city, which includes the Institute of Texas Cultures and two missions. The tickets can be purchased just opposite the Alamo, which you simply must visit. The trolley is hop on/hop off so you can spend as much time at any one attraction as you want, and I believe there are two day tickets also.

Enjoy San Antonio, a wonderful city with so much to do you will have to pack your week full!

Will you have a car? If so, drive the Mission Trail. It's possible to rent B-Cycles and do it as well. You could take a day trip up to the pretty Hill Country and make a stop in Fredericksburg. See the LBJ Ranch near Stonewall.

Northwest side on the way to Six Flags/I-10, The Rim shopping center area-IMAX theater, Bass Pro Shop would be worth a visit. Beyond Six Flags on I-10 is Rudys BBQ, meat served on butcher paper

-----------

take in a movie at AlamoDraftHouse-restaurant style..wait service inside the theater, pizza, subs, burgers, wine/beer for yourselves.......adjacent center to North Star

We don't allow unaccompanied kids at movies

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards talking and texting during the movie. If you talk or text, you will receive one warning. If it happens again, you will be kicked out without a refund.

We strive to be leaders in presentation quality.

We support local breweries.

We strive to serve quality, fresh-prepared food.

----------------------

Natural Bridge Caverns just outside San Antonio

visit Gruene Texas, Gruene Hall-free music daily, general store, wine tasting..beyond NAT Bridge

Austin is just about 1.5 hr away... UT campus/drag, food trucks, more nature things, Bat watching on the bridge etc.

If you want good barbecue Two Bros. BBQ Market and The Big Bib aren't far from where you're staying. Best barbecue town in Texas is Austin with Franklin's (long wait), Freedman's (make reservations), la Barbeque (food truck) and more.

Probably you know about them but Sea World and Six Flags are fun and make a good change of pace from sightseeing.

With your schedule I would stay on the Riverwalk 2-3 days and do those things while down there. Other days go to Six Flags, Seaworld, Natural Bridge Caverns.
