Going to San Antonio tomorrow for 1 night with family and was wondering which location to book a hotel? And which hotels to book? And what are the nice places to go as we have only 24 hour stay...

You should stay at one of the many beautiful hotels on the San Antonio Riverwalk and this will give you access to all the sights and restaurants on the riverwalk in your short period of time.
Read older Trip Advisor posts of San Antonio for hotel recommendations. Just click on San Antonio and you will see just them, not Austin, Houston, Dallas, etc.

I agree you should stay on the RIverwalk/downtown so you can see many sights In walking distance. Check out the Drury Plaza has lots of FREE amenities which makes it a great value for your money.
