Three nights in San Antonio all by myself.

Hi, I will be spending three nights in San Antonio this July (9-12) at the The St. Anthony Riverwalk Wyndham Hotel by myself and wonder what type of activities/sites people would recommend? I am a male in his late 20's who is interested in anything from history/sights/night life/good food. Something I would really want to do is visit a gun range, but don't really know how that would work. I never actually handled a gun and am not sure if that would be a problem. Also, are the missions worth visiting? Any tours that combine those with the Alamo? I don't drive so that will certainly play a factor, but wouldn't mind riding a bike though.

San Antonio has a bike rental program for folks like you:

Here is a brand new 30 min video of Chet Garner of The Daytripper visiting San Antonio. He covers 2 of the missions and rides the bikes (sharing) to them.

Also, go to You Tube and do searches on Riverwalk and Missions.

Also, San Antonio has 3 streetcar routes that go to all the major tourisit attractions.

Across the street from the Alamo is the Visitors Center. These nice folks can answer questions, give you maps, free magazines for touring etc.

On the edge of downtown is the Pearl Brewery complex with a lot of restaurants you might enjoy in the evening.

and Howl at the Moon is very popular downtown:
